Paul Leonidou is a seasoned advertising & short film composer/sound designer.  He studied Music Technology at University of West London. He was mentored by the likes of Pip Williams (Status Quo, Nightwish) who spotted his talent for songwriting & production.

Paul plays music by ear and has been able to do so from a young age, starting on the piano and cello.   He has a keen musical instinct and the ability to truly understand and serve the needs of whatever project he works on.

Paul describes Channel 4’s Gay Under The Taliban  documentary as the most challenging and important project he has worked on to date. The documentary shares the harrowing stories of four LGBTQ+ Afghans living under a regime so brutal that discovery could mean death. Their powerful testimonies are told through striking animation and voice actors, and Paul’s role was to craft a musical score that could hold space for stories.

Writing the music was a delicate task — not just about underscoring scenes, but about honouring the truth of their experiences and supporting the emotional weight of the narrative. “It wasn’t easy viewing,” Paul reflects, “but it’s important viewing.”
